General information
- By using Solidfiles you agree to be legally bound to the following terms. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use Solidfiles.
- Solidfiles may change these terms at any time by announcing the changes online. Please read the terms when we announce changes.
Use of Solidfiles
- Solidfiles should only be used for legal purposes. You agree that you are not allowed to upload any illegal files (according to the Swedish laws), such as copyright protected materials.
- You agree that if any third party company claims that any of your files uploaded to Solidfiles are unlawful, you will take the full responsibility for the consequences and that we are allowed to delete the files immediately.
- You are not allowed to use Solidfiles for uploading illegal materials, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or racially or ethnically derogatory content, or any content expressing hate towards any person or groups of persons due to race, religion, colour, creed, national origin or sexual orientation or to disseminate unsolicited advertising or promotional material of any kind.
Warranty
- The service is provided "as is", we cannot always guarantee accessibility.
- Solidfiles cannot take responsibility for any kind of losses, files uploaded and service errors.
- We cannot guarantee the safety of the uploaded files. Any of the files uploaded to the servers may be deleted at any time without notification.
Privacy policy
Your privacy
Solidfiles takes your privacy really seriously. We do not disclose any personal information about you without your approval. In general, any information you share with us will only be used internal.
However, if you break the TOS we may look through the information that we need to be able to take legal actions.
Information that you volunteer
Solidfiles cannot take responsibility of any kind of personal information that you may share in the files you upload or in your profile. The profile is shown by any member of Solidfiles. You can choose what information you want to be shown in your profile. Please note that your user-name is always shown when sharing your files.
IP-address
Solidfiles does log IP-addresses of uploaded files. These are only used to be able to ban users that abuse the TOS.
Password encryption
All passwords stored in Solidfiles's database are strongly encrypted with a method called double md5 with "salt". It's almost impossible to break, but please do not use insecure passwords like single words, same as your user-name. Instead, use a combination of letters and numbers.
Cookies
According to Swedish law (6 kap. 18 ยง), we need to notify our users if the service uses cookies or not.
We do use session cookies, mostly for storing temporarily information such as your login and for statistics. The session cookies are destroyed when you close your web-browser. Almost all sites uses session cookies.
